Elopement Styled Photoshoot | Wedding Inspiration

Surprise!! We eloped! Lu and I are officially husband and wife. Just kidding :) Now that I’ve caught your attention, let’s talk about this amazing experience Lu and I recently had. A fellow creative and photographer, Sarah Noele, reached out through Instagram and needed models for a shoot. Hence, why we’re here. Today I’ll be sharing with y’all our experience, a little behind the scenes, and photos from the elopement shoot!

The mastermind behind this all is Sarah. I’ve been following her for a long time and truly admire her work. When she reached out, we instantly knew we had to jump on this opportunity. This girl’s attention to detail and vision is amazing. She curates styled photoshoots with other creatives, photographers, and vendors in the wedding industry. I’m all for women supporting women and community over competition therefore this blog post is dedicated to the marvelous women that made this possible!

Elopement Photoshoot Behind the Scenes:

It truly does take a village. We initially had this planned for August but had to push it back to late September. From the wedding cake to the floral arrangement and invitations, there was SO much that went into this process. Our elopement shoot location was in the dunes in Rhode Island and let me tell you, I did not know there were so many hidden gems in New England!

My day started as any bride’s day would, with hair and make-up of course. Olivia and Virginia from Resurge Beauty Bar were lovely to work with. These ladies travel all over New England and focus on using eco-friendly vegan products. Other than hair and makeup, these ladies are also photographers! What more could you ask for? A makeup artist and hairdresser that will then take your pictures? Sign me up.

It’s All About the Details!

I truly was blown away from every little detail and thought that went into this elopement-styled shoot. From the floral arrangements to the handmade invitations, you could tell these women are serious about what they do. Honestly, I think my favorite part had to be the decor and backdrop. The theme of this shoot was nomadic/boho beachy/desert style. I know that’s a lot, but the designer and event planner behind the scenes really hooked it up. All pieces in the shoot were sourced from all around the world.

Each detail came together to create a beautiful masterpiece. I was not expecting to get on set and see a cake. Like an actual wedding cake was waiting for us. These women truly are amazing at what they do and the attention to detail is just *chef’s kiss.

Love is Not Cancelled

This has been an interesting year for the wedding and photography industry. Many brides and grooms have had to either cancel, postpone, or downsize their wedding ceremony. Vendors in the industry have had to get creative with how they run their business. I could only imagine the chaos and stress brides, grooms, and business owners in the industry have had to go through in the last few months. If there’s a silver lining in all of this, I believe COVID-19 has forced us to slow down and realize what really matters: family, friends, and the coming together of two loving individuals.

If you have any questions about our experience or want to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes, feel free to shoot me a message. Let me know in the comments below if you’re getting married soon or just recently tied the knot. I’d love to hear from y’all! Of all the images I’ve shared today, which ones are your favorite? Honestly, I can’t choose. They’re all SO beautiful!

Thank you to the amazing ladies who were behind the scenes and made this elopement photoshoot possible. I highly recommend you show these ladies some love! For more updates on my adventures and travels, don’t forget to subscribe!

Till then,
